Culinary Class War's Judge Ahn SungJae Is Stepping Up Preparations for a New Restaurant For a New Leap Forward
Chef Ahn Sung-jae of the new star, Michelin three-star restaurant "Mosu," which was born by Netflix's cooking survival entertainment show "culinary class war," which stirred Korea into a gourmet craze, decorated the pages of luxury fashion lifestyle magazine "Esquire."
Chef Ahn said, "There are a lot of complaints about the opening of the parameters, and I want to take this opportunity to let you know that construction is under way to create a perfect workplace."
On this day, Chef Ahn said, "This year, architect Cho Min-seok, who built the British Serpentine Pavilion, which commissioned construction by selecting only one architect from the world, was in charge of parameters. It was a little delayed because it was not easy to add a modern touch while maintaining the style of an old Korean Western-style house."
"Now, I sometimes think, 'Wouldn't we do a little rough work?'" he said. "But if it's on the same level as the old restaurant, it doesn't mean anything. We have to evolve without fail," he added. "While the Michelin Institute of Evaluation is in hiding, those who are not in business will lose their star. In a nutshell, we only have things to go down," he said. "But what's important to us is to evolve."
Ahn also talked about how he felt about receiving public attention through "culinary class war." "Honestly, most of the cast members would not have known who I am. Originally, I am a person who quietly does my job and expresses myself through cooking rather than receiving attention," he said. "However, not everyone can taste my food, and as long as I have already been connected to the public through the program through words, words will be very important."
